Speaking of works in progress, what about me. I just wanted to say that I ran today for the first time in months. It's one of those crisp, sunny fall days that just begs you to get outside and make the most of it. I ran for an hour along the country lanes, a disused railroad line and then along the Oxford canal. I just couldn't stop running. I had a podcast of This American Life on the ipod, though in retrospect the Forrest Gump soundtrack may have been more appropriate with all the running and running. I completely went to another place. I'm telling you this because somehow saying it out loud, or in this case typing it out loud, makes my commitment to do it again and regularly all the more likely. If you know that I can run that far, and I know I can run that far, then maybe I can just keep it up.

Work in Progress Thursday: The Pinafore Anouk

Hey darling, This is your Momma speaking...I love your blog! I am so impressed with your talent! I am going to make your soup and muffins this weekend, they look delicious! Your photos are superb! Makes my tummy rumble! Who could have guessed you would turn into the domestic goddess you are, you didn't even pick up your underwear at home, let alone express any interest in cooking. However, I do remember wonderful times making Christmas cookies and roasting pumpkin seeds....and then there were our crafty weekends!
Thanks Mom!! I owe you one.
